For more than 25 years, Athabasca Catering has delivered exceptional catering and hospitality management services to clients across Saskatchewan and western Canada. With our full Indigenous heritage and ownership at the forefront of our brand, we have always made it a priority to support our communities and pursue sustainable economic success. We are committed to the communities in which we serve and operate, building and developing a stronger, more empowered Indigenous generation of thinkers and doers.
Today, we are proud to announce a new partnership that will allow us to illustrate and enhance the economic contributions of Indigenous Peoples across Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Athabasca Catering has partnered with Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training in a bid to support Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program. A successful bid will see Athabasca Catering provide site support and hospitality services for the FAcT program for 25 years.
Athabasca Catering and Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training share the same desire to understand the deep-rooted values and cultures of the communities in which we operate, always striving to give back through opportunities and growth to empower communities. We have a long history of providing unparalleled service and quality in multi-generational contracts for national, and even global, clients. Our precise focus on our client base, combined with our drive to build a legacy, means that our responsibilities go far beyond catering – we are leading the way in the industry and emphasizing sustainable practices that touch on our environment, culture, and common future.
Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training is excited for the experience that Athabasca Catering is bringing to the table, with strong prairie roots, a deep connection to their Indigenous Peoples, an unwavering commitment to sustainable practices, and supporting small businesses in the communities they operate.
Formed out of the union of two major Air Force training vendors that service Canadian airbases, Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training is a large player on the national stage. As part of an unprecedented deal that will last past 2040, they have chosen Athabasca Catering Limited Partnership (and our auxiliary support partners) to provide site support and hospitality services for multiple locations in the prairie provinces, including the 15 Wing in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, the 17 Wing in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and the Southport Portage in La Prairie, Manitoba.
This incredible opportunity is a large investment in and recognition of the ongoing potential of Indigenous communities in these two provinces. It will not only benefit the overall innovation and acceleration of military training infrastructure in Canada, but will consistently offer increased employment, greater economic options for our communities, the growth of specialized skillsets and training, and a more resilient path forward into the future.
While this partnership is still in the early stages, we are looking forward to getting started and making the most of it, every day. For more information on our plans as this agreement moves ahead, refer to the official press release from Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training, visit our Instagram feed, or contact one of our representatives with specific questions.
Thank you for the support and your ongoing encouragement!
